Digital Media Production Documentary Research

I started college studying government and international politics, hoping to make a change in the world. Instead, I found community engagement and local activism to be both more effective and rewarding. I now study information technology, with a personal interest in open-source, community-driven technologies. Working with this program has given me the great opportunity to use my interest in technology and activism to promote anti-racism and peace. I been afforded the chance to design websites; use my creative side to record and edit interviews, take journalistic photos, and write an outline for a documentary; and directly engage with a community to help preserve their history for them.
