On December 4, 2021, marking the 90th anniversary of the lynching of 23-year-old Matthew Williams in Salisbury, Maryland, Dr. Charles L. Chavis, Jr. sat down for an interview with PBS NewsHour’s Hari Sreenivasan on racial terror in Maryland, his research on Matthew Williams, and the partnership between the Mitchell Program, the Maryland Lynching Memorial Project, and the Maryland Lynching Truth & Reconciliation Commission.

Complementing the release of his documentary Hidden in Full View, Dr. Chavis also published an op-ed for PBS’s Exploring Hate: Antisemitism, Racism, and Extremism project.
